On 15th December, the community health initiative ‘Shukhee Gram’ officially launched in Sitakunda, near the port city of Chattogram. This is a humanitarian and innovative health program. The event was attended by Renowned Surgeon Dr. Scott Leckman, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer (UHFPO) representative, Upazila Social Services Officer Lutfunnessa Begum, CEO of Grameen HealthTech Limited Dr. Ahmed Arman Siddiqui, and other senior officials. The event was co-organized by the humanitarian organization Mohsin-Fatema Siddiqui Social Welfare Society (MFSS).
The ‘Shukhee Gram’ initiative is a pioneering model designed to deliver 360° comprehensive healthcare and wellness services to every household in a selected rural community called ‘Shukhee Bari.’ This pilot included 60 families, representing the first real-world implementation of the Shukhee ecosystem—where digital innovation, community-based care, and coordinated partnerships came together to ensure “Health for Every Home.” Each family received a Shukhee Family Health Card, which provides access to regular healthcare, routine check-ups, and digital health support. Additionally, a 3-month free doctor follow-up was announced, which will be managed through the Shukhee app. Health cardholders will also receive special discounts at partner labs in Sitakunda, helping reduce their medical expenses. ‘
Shukhee Gram’ proved that when technology, collaboration, and compassion work together, healthcare can reach every home. This initiative represents Shukhee’s long-term commitment to underserved communities. The organizers expressed hope that Shukhee will continue to launch such innovative initiatives to build a healthy, safe, and informed future for marginalized populations.
